Hello, I am Pooja. I am the program leader for the Animation and Film program at Amity University Dubai. I am a digital creator, educator, and animation professional with over a decade of experience in the global animation and multimedia industry. I hold a Master’s degree in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), USA, ranked No. 1 for its M.A. Animation programme by Animation Career Review for four consecutive years.
At Amity University Dubai, I am leading the BFA Animation and Film Production programme, where I blend industry experience with academic insight to shape the next generation of creative professionals. I have worked with renowned studios including Technicolor, Real Image Production Studio, CW Studios LLC (USA), and Modsy. My portfolio includes projects such as Assassin’s Creed (Ubisoft), Mickey Mouse (Ubisoft), and government campaigns for Dubai Police, RTA, ADDA GITEX, and Hatta.
Internationally, I have served as a 3D artist and supervisor for animated projects such as Nubbin and Friends (which aired on The Wendy Williams Show), Rymtym, and Black Butterfly. My creative expertise spans visual look development, digital lighting, character modeling, hard surface modeling, animation, particle dynamics, and motion graphics.
My work has been recognized through multiple awards, including the SCAD Graduate Animation Award for Fallen Swan (2017) and Best Student Film for Kabir (2016). I am passionate about mentoring students and ensuring they are equipped with practical skills aligned with current industry standards. My love for art turned me towards the entertainment industry. The gratifying process of watching the end results after hours of hard labor initiated my pursuit of a career in Animation.
